I am from Michigan but have lived in Nashville, Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington DC, and am currently living in New York. I will be moving to southeast Wisconsin in a few short weeks and am expecting my first child very soon. The greater midwest will generally be the setting for this blog, although I don't intent to set any geographic limits.
Life is an interesting journey and I choose to enjoy it in part by observing how our manmade environment relates to and functions for us, as well as how it interacts with what nature has already created. While I have named my blog 'City Observer' I am not necessarily here to discuss big cities. Small towns, national parks, recreational resorts, sprawling suburbs, and major metropolis's all have a role in America's urban story.
